The intent of this program is to create more interest and competition for
breeders who have reached
Grand Master
Level status in the regular program. It is hoped that it will produce
more articles, and also make
more fish available in our club.
The
program is based on the 15 categories of fish that the Federation of
American Aquarium
Societies (FAAS) has already established. Awards
will be given for Specialist, Master, and Grand Master
within each of the
categories. One fish in a category equals one (1) point towards the set
goals. The goals
are based on the number of species in that category that
have been reported spawned to FAAS.
To receive
an award the required number of species must be witnessed in accordance
with the
regular Breeder Award Program (BAP). An article of 200 words or
more on a spawning in that category
must be submitted to the Extended BAP
Chairperson. All participants in the Extended BAP must be
current in the
regular BAP with all articles submitted that are required to achieve the
status their points allow.
The
following shows you how many points you need to achieve the different
levels for each category:
